color, font and use of multimedia
i have added a range of colors and fonts. i have used comic sans, arial and others. in my facts page my color of my font is rainbow. every paragraph has a separate color. the multimedia in iweb was simple to use. the help instructions were simple and precise.

number of pages
so far i have four pages on my iweb. i intended on adding 3 more pages "reference and photo gallery, and emergency plan".

features on iweb
in my case everything is working on iweb. i have no problems what so ever.

embedding
embedding is a set of browser components capable of being embedded in other application.i have not yet embedded any videos or others. i would first like to work on my information and the go on to embedding.

What is needed in hardware and software for asynchronous and synchronous communication forms?

A web browser ( such as internet, safari, fire fox ) is a software that is needed for asynchronous communication.
A monitor, mouse, key board, and zip drive are the hardwares that is needed for asynchronous communication.

What type of information would be conveyed by asynchronous and synchronous forms?

both types of information  conveyed by asynchronous and synchronous are practically the same. information such as the location and the affected population and areas would be the information conveyed.

Which communication forms are asynchronous?

text messaging is is a form of asynchronous communication. e-mail is another form of asynchronous communication. that is because the data transfer method are signals that are sent and received in spurts and not in a continuous stream like synchronous forms of communication.

Which communication forms are synchronous?

Chatting, instant messenger, phone and many others are all synchronous communication forms. That is because data is transfered through a method in which data is sent (upstream) and received (downstream).  The data flows at the same speed, and is spaced by timing signals.

text messaging is a form

Redbloodclub

websites are unique in many different ways, some betters than others. let us take redbloodclub.net for an example. red blood club is not a bad website. the text is readable and clear, but there is a lack of colors and pictures. the website is not so eye catching.

hrodc

hrodc.com is a cluttered website which is unreadable. There are few colors and there is a big lack of pictures. The website is also non eye catching.

fast cars uk

fast-cars-uk is a very professional looking website. Everything is organized and neat, and the website has no lack of pictures. the website is also eye catching. the navigation buttons are clear and simple.
henkel
henkel is not a bad website but it also is not the best. it is fairly neat but it is kind of squished. it also looks professional with all the pictures and the border.
pbs kids

pbs kids is an amazing website which many children would enjoy. there are many pictures and colors to attract a child to play on it. there is also sound affects when the user presses a picture.

Vocabulary

  1. WWW: world wide web
  2. Synchronous communication: Data transfer method in which sent (upstream) and received (downstream)data flows at the same speed, and is spaced by timing signals
  3. Asynchronous communication: Data transfer method in which signals are sent and received in spurts and not in a continuous stream
  4. HTML: Hypertext markup language

What hardware and software is required to be able to communicate online?

Stated down below are the hardwares and softwares required to communicating online:

Hardwares
  • monitor
  • mouse
  • keyboard
  • and sometimes a cd-rom

SOFTWARE

  • web browser
  • internet
  • safari
  • fire fox

What information can be created before the emergency?

People can be forewarned before an emergency. Information such as what type of disaster may be taken out is important to know before an emergency. Just by knowing what sort of emergency is heading someone's way, people can get prepared. For example if a natural disaster is coming your way, you can:
• Check for hazards in the home

• Identify safe places in each room

• Locate safe places outdoors

• Ensure all family members know how to respond after an earthquake

• Teach children when and how to call 9-1-1

• Have disaster supplies on

• Develop an emergency communications plan in case of separation during the earthquake

• Ask an out-of-state relative or friend to serve as the family contact

What essential information needs to be communicated during a disaster or emergency?

When you are going to communicate to get some assistance, there is a number of thing that you should state:

- The type of emergency, the affected areas and populations and the emergency likely progress.

- It's impact on health.
-The immediate impact on health services

- The extent of damage to other areas similar to health operations

All the information stated above should be involved in your communication for help. The most important information would be the type of emergency and the effected areas and populations.

What forms of communication have been used during recent disasters e.g Hurricane Katrina, the Asian Tsunami?

Many different techniques of communication was used during Hurricane Katrina and Asian Tsunami. Ham operators were one of the way that helped to communicate in hurricane katrina using voice, computers, televisions and Morse codes. Some hams bounce their signals off the upper regions of the atmosphere, so they can talk with hams on the other side of the world; others use satellites. Many use short-range, handheld radios that fit in their pockets. Cellphones were a vital aid in communicating to get help. Families were able to text or call friends or other relatives in different parts of the world to get help. If they were to try to call 911 the system would probably be overloaded. There are still many other sorts of communication used in now a days natural disasters.

Why is communication so important during an emergency?

Communication is very important in emergencies  such as natural disasters. By communicating millions of people's lives can be saved. Not only that, medical supplies and other necessities can be sent from other countries to help the horrible situation. Without communicating in an emergency the state if it will not change. The number of people that need assistance may increase by a large amount, because of the lack of necessities. The state if the emergency may remain as shown below in the video
